His pack worries for him, but they too have suffered a devastating blow. When several members leave to join Three Rivers, the pack faces the threat of dissolution until Brett's best friend and Lone Wolf, Luc Danes returns to Hudson River accompanied by a beautiful young human—or is she? Something about the woman consumes Brett. Has Luc come home to help or to take the pack from Brett?
Colby Jenson wrapped up thousands of hours of community service working at the hospital in Maine when an injured Luc Danes rolled through the door. The impossible patient drove the nurses crazy, but when Danes offered her money no strings attached to drive him to New York, she agreed. The last thing she expected was to arrive in the small Westchester County town and to meet the craziest collection of residents—especially the devastatingly sexy Brett Dalton. Part of her wants to hit the road, the rest wants to make him smile and he keeps making excuses for her to stay.
Then she sees the wolves...and is exposed to a world she can barely imagine. When Brett discovers a secret about her, nothing will be the same again. Now she will find herself torn between a world she isn't sure she can understand and the man who has taken her heart hostage...

Praise for the Wolves of Willow Bend series:
“Long dished out a lot of unexpected twists and turns and did a great job tying it all together. The build-up and bits of action kept me up late at night flipping the pages.” – Booked & Loaded

"ROGUE WOLF is a fast paced, intriguing look into the world of shifters. Salvatore is old world a bit stodgy and Margo is very much new world and on top of that a lone wolf and Enforcer. How is it possible that these two could be mates? In author Heather Long's vivid and fun imagination it's very easy." - Fresh Fiction

"BAYOU WOLF is in a word ... amazing. All the reader can do is hold on for the ride and enjoy the fireworks." - Fresh Fiction

“If you love sexy wolf shifters, sweet love stories and action then you have to pick up UNTAMED WOLF by Heather Long.” - Annetta Sweetko, Fresh Fiction

Excerpt from River Wolf:
So not ready to be awake…
A knock on the door intruded in her drifting and she groaned. Dammit, she was a guest. She couldn’t stay in bed all day. In fact, what she needed to do was get up, shower, dress and get her ass on the road. Florida seemed a hell of a long way to go, though. Rolling over, she shoved the blankets away then climbed out of the bed. Glaring at the light between the curtains, she rubbed a hand over her face, then stumbled to the door.
Opening it a crack, she gazed at her host. Goddammit. He looked perfect. Dressed in a clean, nicely pressed shirt with the top two buttons open to reveal the faint curls of dark against his chest and smelling like heaven, he looked good enough to eat. His hair wasn’t even damp, though it fell in a soft wave toward his forehead. He’d been up long enough to shower and dress—and he wore a smile.
“Ugh,” she sighed. “Please God tell me you are not one of those happy morning people.”
The corner of his sensual mouth quirked higher. The effect on his expression devastated her sleepy senses. No human should ever look so damn good without coffee. The combination of rake and boy next door added to his appeal, but the trace of scars and mottled skin gave him a ruggedness she desperately wanted to smooth away. “I woke you.”
“Not exactly,” she admitted, rubbing her cheek against the door and leaning on it a little more heavily. Everything ached and she wanted to go back to sleep. “I’m used to getting by on a lot less sleep.” And rolling out of bed to go to work for eight hour shifts that as often as not turned into ten to twelve hours on her feet. “I think I am tireder than I thought.” She yawned the last three words, and when she glanced at him again, his expression softened.
Extending a finger, he traced the line of her cheek and it was a soothing motion, one which had her eyes half-closing in pleasure. “Go back to bed, Colby.” His voice washed over her. “I’ll be in my office working.”
“I can’t laze about in bed all day.” No matter how good it sounded.
“Why not?”
“Because…” She had to go to Florida or at least say her goodbyes. She was a guest and not even an intentional one.  “…Luc. I should probably check on him.”
“He’s fine, the doctor is with him.” The indulgence in his voice evaporated, but the steadiness in his tone remained. “Go sleep. When you wake up, come find me. We’ll have coffee.”
Tempting. So. So. Tempting. “I’m up now…but coffee sounds like heaven. Really, really strong coffee.”
“Double pot? I made one, I can run it through again.”
Colby groaned at the idea. Now that he’d mentioned it, she could smell the coffee. It proved even more alluring than the sweet vanilla and jasmine entwining the pine of his cologne on her pillow. Releasing the door to stretch, she would have thumped her tail if she’d had one. “Yes, please. If it wouldn’t be too much to ask.”
Silence greeted her comment, and she found Brett gazing at her. Rapt admiration in his eyes as he trailed his gaze down her body and up again.
Fuck me… She still only wore a t-shirt and panties and she’d just given him a show. “Crap. Sorry.” Slamming the door shut, she leaned against it. Adrenaline burned through the remaining traces of sleepiness, adrenaline and a healthy dose of lust. Having him look at her like that warmed inside and out.
“Please,” his voice stroked her through the door. “Don’t apologize. I’ll go fix the coffee. Come and find me.”
The invitation had her toes curling and she bit her lip. “I will,” she said, then added in a low whisper. “I promise.”
“I’ll be waiting.”
A shiver skated over her spine and she closed her eyes. Maybe she should have invited him inside to go back to bed with her. Inappropriate as hell, and impulsive, but she bet Brett would wake her even better than the coffee.
He already has…

Available at:  Amazon  |  Barnes & Noble  |  Kobo  |  iTunes  |  Goodreads

Excerpt:
Slipping back into her jacket, she yanked her hair out from under her collar. As it fell back around her face, she looked up, straight into the eyes of Grayson Reynolds—CEO of Reynolds & Reynolds Publishing, sex god, and ass-hat extraordinaire.

Standing just a few tiny inches from Mr. Large-And-In-Charge made an uncomfortable heat radiate from her face again. “What the hell are you doing here?”

Ass-hat lifted an amused brow, but his gaze never faltered from her chest. “Interesting choice of shirts.”

She tugged her jacket closed.

Lila lunged between them like an Olympic long-jumper. “Mr. Reynolds. I—uh—I apologize. Jessie doesn’t visit the corporate offices much. She obviously has you confused with someone else.”

Nope.

Jessie knew exactly who the ivy-league prick was, despite the fact he’d given her a false name to get her into bed a year ago.

When she’d slept with him, she had no idea he was the Reynolds heir in line to be CEO of her publishing house. Absolutely no idea he’d be the one signing her paychecks. And she certainly hadn’t known he was a cold-blooded snake, cruel enough to make love to a woman and then sneak out as if he were a thief in the night.

But she sure as hell knew it now.

About Michelle Sharp:

Michelle Sharp is a romance author from the Midwest. Although she has a degree in journalism from Southern Illinois University, she finds weaving tales of danger, deception, and love much preferable to reporting the cold, hard facts. Her goal in life? To team resilient, kick-ass heroines with the sexy alpha’s who love them. As most writers probably are, she is an avid reader. Her first choice is usually a story with a thrilling combination of danger and love, but any book with a great voice and intriguing story will keep her turning pages well past any reasonable bed-time.

Excerpt:

Kiss me, please kiss me, and make me forget all about the countless things trying to drag me under.
Luke froze, and for one eternal second she thought she’d misread his signals. But then his mouth crashed down on hers, erasing any chance of misinterpretation. His tongue speared between her lips, stroking along her tongue once, twice, a third time. She couldn’t fight back a moan as he raked his teeth over her bottom lip before sucking it into his mouth. The spark of attraction inside her burst into an all-out bonfire. Alexis shifted her grip, letting go of his shirt with one hand so she could twine her fingers through his longish blond hair. She pulled it sharply enough to make him groan against her mouth, and then he was kissing his way along her jaw and nipping her earlobe. “You taste so goddamn good, darlin’, like a Georgia peach. I can’t get enough of it.”

Spotlight: Crashing Through Time by @Jenna_Jaxon

 BLURB FOR CRASHING THROUGH TIME:

More than hearts can be broken when you crash through time.
Corrine MacGowan survives a plane crash only to fall down a hole in time. In 1868 Cornwall she faces the ultimate decision: Let the man she loves die, or save him and change history forever.

EXCERPT:
“Damn and blast.”
The curse brought her attention to a young man lying on the ground to her left. He lay flat on his back, his face screwed into a furious frown. If not for that, he would’ve been pretty hot. Dark brown wavy hair, a ruddy complexion, and very full, sexy lips sent a little thrill through her. A typical Englishman, he even had those odd mutton-chop sideburns like Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice. Were those back in fashion over here? She didn’t remember seeing anyone else wearing them.
“I say, have you seen my hat?”
God, he had a devastating English accent. She could listen to an Englishman talk all day long. She sighed with sheer joy.
“I beg your pardon, miss, but did you see where my hat has gotten to?” He sat up, twisting this way and that, searching for it.
“Hat?” Didn’t he mean helmet? No one rode without one these days. Still, she looked around for the black velvet helmet she remembered from her senior year P.E. class.
He jerked his head toward her. “You’re American?”
“Yes.” He got that from one word? Must’ve been her southern drawl. She sat up straighter. “I’m from Virginia.”
“Forgive me. Deuced awkward to make an introduction from the ground.” He attempted to stand, and grunted in pain as he put weight on his left foot. “Oh, damn. I beg your pardon. That hurts abominably.” He hopped about, gingerly trying to step on his foot and failing.
Corrine shot to her feet and reached out to steady him. “Here, let me help.” Grabbing him around the waist, she then managed to slide his arm over her shoulders and looked for a rock or stump for him to sit on. Even the stupid well would’ve been welcome right about now.
She glanced up at him to find his eyes wide, his frown returned. He must’ve been angry with her for startling his horse. “I’m sorry I spooked your horse, but I’ve had a horrible day so far. Did you see the plane crash? I was on that. Is there somewhere you could sit down?” They’d been turning in circles as Corrine scoured the field for a place to sit him down.
He nodded across the field. “There’s a stile over there and down the field a bit.”
“Good.” She struck out across the deceivingly smooth expanse.
“Wait! My hat.”
“Oh. Right.” Corrine swung them back around toward the woods. “There, I see it. Hold on.” She disentangled herself from him and ran to a thick clump of bushes near the edge of the forest. A tall black hat lay propped on its side almost underneath the nearest shrub. She grabbed it and stopped. Not a normal riding hat. More like a top hat, actually, made of exquisite black silk, like caviar for the fingers. Very peculiar choice for riding.
Turning back to him, she stopped, struck by his appearance. He wore a formal dark blue cutaway coat, white pleated shirt and...was that a cravat tied around his neck? She’d seen enough portraits during her thesis research to recognize one. His gray trousers and over-the-knee boots also screamed nineteenth century. Oh, crap.
“I am so sorry, Mr....er, ah, I’m sorry we haven’t been introduced.”
“Ian Hunterly, at your service.” He shifted his weight and winced.
“Ian Hunterly? How funny.” Now that was a coincidence. “Anyway, I just realized that I must’ve interrupted your shoot. I’m sorry.”
He shook his head, still looking puzzled. “We weren’t shooting today, merely out for a ride. Why is my name funny?” He certainly didn’t look amused.
“It’s just that you have the same name as Sir Robert Graysill’s nephew.” Her thesis topic and his nephew had become like family to her during the year of research. And now here she’d met an Englishman with the same name, although perhaps the name was quite common over here.
He smiled for the first time, and her heart missed a beat. The smile transformed his face from merely handsome to devastatingly sexy, as those full lips turned up the corners of his generous mouth and his eyes lit with an inner warmth they hadn’t shown before.
“That’s because I am Sir Robert’s nephew.”

Spotlight: Crashing Into You by Lisa Kumar

Blurb:

When Ashlee Trent meets handsome businessman Kaiden West on a plane to Australia, he eases her fears even as he sets her heart ablaze. But after their plane crashes into the ocean and they wash ashore, will the secrets surrounding him send their budding relationship into a nosedive?

Excerpt:

Realization hit her like a rock. The guy still holding onto her shoulder—and looking at her like she was insane—was Kaiden West.
He was the proud owner of a billion-dollar multi-media company that had its fingers into everything. Magazines, newspapers, film, and advertising were some of the cherries in his pie. And he was plastered on all the outlets he didn’t own.
Ashlee blinked. Maybe she was experiencing a break from reality. Not unheard of. Eddie, her latest schizophrenic child, had nothing on her today.
But no, he was still standing before her in this very plane, touching her shoulder! Which begged the question of why he was on said plane and touching said shoulder.
“I believe we’re blocking the aisle. May I help you to your seat?”
His eyes glittered so prettily and— The actual meaning of his words pierced her addled-mind. Huh? Seat? She nodded. He could help her to wherever he wanted.
“I’m afraid I don’t know your seat number. Can you tell me it, or at least show me your boarding pass?”
Mortification burned through her. He thought she couldn’t talk? She shoved the crumpled pass at him as she forced her tongue into some kind of working order. “Here,” she rasped.
He barely lifted an arched brow over her oddness and guided her toward her seat. The crowd parted before him as if he were Moses. Oh, wait, he was. Moses of the media world at least.
Ashlee stood in front of her seat but didn’t sit. At over six foot three, he didn’t need that extra advantage. She was uncomfortable enough. Why was he even helping her? After a second’s thought, she found she didn’t care. Though it may be stupid and reckless of her, it only mattered that he was by her side. As she worked up the courage to thank him, he reached for her carry-on.
With surprising gentleness, he pulled the bag toward him, so she released her death grip on it. He flashed her a smile that sent the butterflies into her throat before he deposited the bag into the overhead bin.
She swallowed to get some moisture back into her Sahara-like mouth. “Thank you. For your help.”
“It was my pleasure.”
A warm heat stole through her. What was he doing to her?
His blue gaze swept over her, and he opened his mouth as if to say something more. But he inclined his head and headed toward the front again.

Guest Post: Crash an Burn by Melissa Keir

Fertility Problems Isn’t a Blame Game…

Many times when a couple is having a problem getting pregnant, it can become a blame game. According to the Centers for Disease Control nearly 10% of all couples will have a problem with fertility. Only 1/3 of the time is the cause the man’s fault. 1/3 of the time, it’s the woman’s fault and the remaining times it’s a combination of both or another cause all together.

With this many couples having issues with getting pregnant, it’s no wonder that the stress of trying to get pregnant leads to marriage issues. Trying to get pregnant is prime time comedy fodder, from women using a turkey baster to men rushing home because their wife is ovulating.

Rob and Keira Matthews from Crash and Burn are just such a couple. I’ve purposefully left out the reason for their infertility and where they are in a treatment plan. The story is more about the repairing of their relationship than about having a baby. Keira longs for a baby so much that she’s adopted her dog as her baby. She speaks in “baby talk” to Gris. She makes sure to buy him little matching outfits and will even cut his food. Clearly, she’s gone overboard. But Rob has too. He’s working later hours, hitting the gym, and even zoning out in front of the TV. Anything to avoid talking about “having a baby” with his wife.

If the two of them hadn’t been stranded alone together on an island, would they ever have reconnected? I see them before the crash on a one way ticket to divorce. Both of them are hiding from their problems. Unfortunately, we don’t all have an island retreat to escape the stress and see things from a new perspective. What do you do to get away from the stress and rekindle the romance?
Crash and Burn is a novella in the Crashing Into Love book bundle.

Crash and Burn by Melissa Keir
Can Rob and Keira's second honeymoon lead to romance, or will it crash and burn?

On the verge of a divorce, Rob and Keira Matthews book a second honeymoon at the urging of their counselor. Unable to conceive, they've pushed each other away in an effort to protect their hearts. Will a romantic holiday be the ticket to love or a plane crash in disaster?

Excerpt
Her husband stomped away in a huff. His damp clothes accentuated his fit body. The many nights he’d spent lately at the gym had firmed and toned his already-sexy body into a dream machine. Yeah, and all those other women ogling him. Too bad the gym didn’t do more for his attitude. I heard his comment. Why does he always have to push my buttons? He really shouldn’t have expected me to go walking, looking for…. She shivered. What if there were bodies? I wonder if anyone else survived the crash. I’ve got better things to do. Maybe I’ll find out this island is really a resort like in that romance novel I read. Then I can save the day.
She picked up Gris and gave him a kiss on the nose. “Little man, you’d never get mad at me. Let’s go find ourselves the perfect place to rest. Maybe we can prove to that man I’m capable.” With the dog settled in her arms, Keira headed inland, away from the beach and toward the jungle.
Trees filled her vision. Their dense foliage provided shelter and had allowed moss to cover the ground. She welcomed the softness under her feet. She noticed the drop in temperature as well. The blistering sun from the beach dappled through the leaves and created a cool, welcoming environment. The sound of birds and other animals teased her hearing. She paused and inhaled. A flowery fragrance filled the air.
The trees are so thick, I can’t see more than five feet in front of me. I hope there aren’t any snakes. Her stomach knotted. Snakes or lack of food? She pulled Gris closer to her, absently running her fingers through his fur. I’m sure there’s no coffee joint or five-star hotel around here. I would’ve seen something before now. Rats. I was really hoping for the happy ending of a romance novel.

About Melissa Keir:
For my wedding in Vegas, my books and computer came with me but there wasn't enough room for my wedding shoes. It’s all about priorities! As an avid reader, I was probably born with a book in hand. Luckily my mom was also an avid reader, so it was easy to "borrow" her books when my books were finished.
I was reading from an early age about dashing men on horseback riding to the rescue of strong willed and capable women who didn't really need rescuing. I came to expect that women in fairy tales should have fought their own battles. When I was older, I found Margaret Atwood and realized that women could re-tell history in their own way and I experimented with changing those basic fairy tales.
Fortunately for me, my husband allows me the opportunity to be myself (spend my salary on books) and still takes care of the really important things for me like killing spiders and opening jars. As an elementary teacher, teaching children about the many worlds inside of books is a gift that I’m lucky enough to do for a living. Teaching the next generation to love reading is a lot of fun! Reading the right book can make a new world come alive!
Currently living in the suburbs of Ann Arbor, Michigan with my darling husband, way-too-grown-up children and spoiled dogs, I enjoy getting away through a book to escape the harsh winters or summer road construction.

I’d love to hear from you!
