She doesn’t fit in. A foolish attempt to do the right thing leaves Silver on the wrong end of a murderer’s gun. Only the intervention of Palmetto County Detective Jesse Farrell saves her life. Jesse needs to keep her hidden and he knows just the place

He only knows how to destroy in order to save
Kirk Matheson is the last line of defense for the Moonlight Pack. He’s fought hard and dirty to help save the remnants of their small pack. He will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Of the pack, but not part of them, he is struggling to settle in the pack’s new location.

Witness protection has never been like this!
Silver finds herself in the custody of Kirk, the biggest, meanest man she’s ever met. He attracts her almost as much as he scares her. Once she starts to uncover his secrets, she’s intrigued. Maybe there is more to him than meets the eye.

Kirk is outraged when his alpha insists her takes Silver under his protection. The pretty, curvy human invades his space, driving him crazy with her delicate scent and sweet nature. The sooner he can get rid of her the better, right?

When Silver starts to show an interest, Kirk conceives the perfect plan. He can slake his painful lust for her and, by showing her the monster beneath his skin, make sure she never comes near him again. Her natural passions take him by surprise, sparking a fierce addiction he might never be able to slake.

He’ll sacrifice it all to save her
Betrayal and corruption put Silver in mortal danger. Kirk will destroy everything he’s saved to rescue the human female he cannot live without.

Snarling, Kirk shoved the woman behind his back, trapping her between the door and his thick body. He rounded on the four men, claws forming, teeth elongated and ready to snap. They’d summoned him for a reason and there could be no room for doubts. The woman had been deemed a threat and the situation would be handled.
His way.
Chest heaving like a set of bellows, he studied the four men arrayed before him. Charlie and Jesse looked furious, glowering and struggling against the hold Rand had on them. The pack second looked amused, although Kirk didn’t see anything to laugh about. And Derek looked thoughtful, studying him with those probing eyes of his.
“You’re hurting me,” a soft, feminine voice whispered into his back. What did he care about crushing her? She wouldn’t feel anything soon enough. Still, he eased a few inches away, missing the slight warmth once the woman was no longer squeezed tight between himself and the door.
“Calm down, Kirk.” Derek didn’t bother to raise his voice over the curses pouring from Charlie.
“Not me that needs to calm down. You summoned me, and we both know what that means. Not my problem you chose to involve those who have no business here.” He sneered at the two human males and pressed back against the plump little female until her ripe breasts nestled against his spine. Her small hands braced at his hips, and she made a futile effort to push him forward again.
A look of sadness flittered across the alpha’s face, and he shook his head. “You are what I made you, Kirk, and I am sorrier for that than you will ever know. I should have realized you would jump to conclusions as to why I called you.”
A deep growl rumbled in Kirk’s chest. He was proud to serve Derek and the pack. Every step he’d taken down the road to hell had been taken with the sure knowledge no one else in the pack would have to perform an evil deed for the greater good. He carried the sins of their survival so they didn’t have to.
“I don’t need pity. I just need your orders. I’ve got a dump site already picked out. She’s only a little thing so the gators will make short work of the body.”
“Body? What body? I didn’t bring her here for you to kill her, you freak!” Jesse yelled, straining against Rand’s hold.
Kirk ignored him, keeping his eyes fixed on Derek’s face. He couldn’t ignore the sobs, or the scent of terror, rising from the woman though. Her tears soaked into his shirt, her fingers scrabbled against his back where she fought to get free from his weight restraining her. An inexplicable urge to gather her into his arms and comfort her rose in his chest. He snarled again, using his anger to fight down the conflicting emotions.
“This is Silver Ellis and she needs our protection. Needs your protection. My orders are for you to take her back to the cabin with you and keep her safe from harm,” Derek said.
A bark of bitter laughter escaped Kirk. The alpha must have taken leave of his senses. “I don’t do protection.”

Synopsis
Love the music—never the man. At twenty years-old, Sabrina Caroline was America’s sweetheart pop star, until she took a year off to treat her social phobia that her cut-throat-manager/mom paid top dollar to keep quiet. Now as part of her comeback, she’s forced into collaboration with one of the hottest rock bands topping the charts—Birds of Prey—whose lead guitarist happens to be her biggest mistake…and her biggest regret. Hawke Owens never imagined Birds of Prey would surpass the basement of the Duncan High School for Performing Arts, let alone score them a European tour. But success has its price, and for him, it’s being forced to work with the only girl who shattered his heart—Sabrina Caroline. She’s everything that he remembers and more, every memory and fantasy come to life. At first touch, their connection is electric, but it’s also as strong as her determination to follow her number one rule—she doesn’t date rock stars…even though she’s become one. Loving her again is as natural as holding his guitar, but she’s destroyed him once, and this time the stakes are higher, more public, and the consequences life-altering. Against the backdrop of the birth of MTV, they’ll have to choose between the demands of their label, and the demands of the heart.

He took my face in his hands and leaned in until he was all I could see, all I could feel, and smell. How easily he consumed me with a simple touch. “There have been too many women. Too many meaningless encounters. Too many faces. But there’s only been one name in my mouth, and it’s always been yours. Only yours.”   His mouth met mine without preamble, and before I could protest, I was lost to the feel of his lips on mine.   It was so familiar, yet new. When his tongue stroked the seam of my lips, I opened for him, and reveled in his groan as he sank into the kiss. I found the support beam against my back as he pressed against me, our bodies aligning with the fit I’d always remembered as perfect.   It was still just as exquisite.   His hand stroked down the side of my body, a path of fire igniting in his wake until he gripped one of my hips, pulling me even closer to him. With the other, he tilted my head for a deeper assault, exploring the recesses of my mouth, lingering like he didn’t already know every part of me.   It was the best second first kiss in the history of kisses.
I arched, pushing my breasts against his chest, and looped my arms around his neck. Then I kissed him back with every ounce of passion I’d missed these last three years. I kissed him the way I’d fantasized about since I walked out, with tiny nips and fuller, lingering caresses. When that wasn’t enough, I sucked his tongue back into my mouth and reveled in his groan of surrender.
He still wanted me, and that knowledge was more intoxicating than any alcohol, more high-inducing than any drug.
His hand shifted, running under my dress until he met bare skin where my garters attached to my stockings. “Holy shit, Brie. You’re going to be the death of me.”
He squeezed my bare thigh, and I lifted my leg, semi-wrapping it around his hip.
I’d almost forgotten how powerful it was to kiss Hawke, how it consumed every sense, every thought, until I was just a jumble of feelings and need. It was never just a kiss, it was a full-body experience that blocked out the rest of the world.
A moan escaped my lips as his set to my neck, and my head rolled back against the beam. He hit the spot right above my collarbone and I whimpered.
“I love that sound,” he murmured, then gently sucked that patch of skin so he could hear it again.
“Hey guys—whoa!” Chad’s voice penetrated my haze of desire.
“Go the fuck away,” Hawke said, moving so I was covered from Chad’s gaze. “Yeah, well, I would—I mean, good for you guys, and it’s about damn time—but
Oscar Oswald is here and he’s asking for us.”
I pushed gently against Hawke’s chest. If Oscar Oswald was here, it could mean huge things for their career. He was the biggest name going in rock. “You need to see what he wants.”

My hands sliding up her legs, I rose and kissed her glossed lips. “You taste like heaven.” “You,” she whispered, her fingers playing with my buckle. “No,” I said, grasping both her wrists in my hand. “That was for you. Thank you for trusting me.” “But you have to go on stage, and you’re…” she gestured toward my pants as she stood, shimmying her dress back down her supple thighs. “Hard as hell?” I forced a laugh and rearranged my dick so it wouldn’t be quite as noticeable. She looked in the mirror. “And I look like I just…” “Came on my mouth?” I suggested. She arched an eyebrow, but didn’t back down. “Yes.” I wrapped my arms around her waist and brought her against my chest, bare except for the open leather jacket. “I have no problem with the world knowing that I get on my knees for you. I’m the envy of every man on the planet.”

Leveling the Field
by Megan Erickson

Reclusive magazine exec Ethan Talley is furious when his business partner hires a photographer—a gorgeous photographer who insists on speaking her mind, damn it—to take pictures for an upcoming article. No matter how badly he wants the woman…under him, over him, against the nearest wall…he has reasons for not wanting to be on camera anymore, and his scars are only one of them.

It takes approximately two seconds for Lissa Kingsman to recognize Ethan as the popular YouTube gamer who fell off the planet years ago. But this Ethan is different than the charming man she used to watch, and the crush she had on him then is nothing compared to the way she’s lusting after the brooding man he is today. If sex is all he can give her, fine. Why not use that bearskin rug in her studio for something other than a prop? But she’s determined to put a chink in his armor, no matter how much he resists.

Start the series with Changing His Game

About Megan Erickson: My first stories written in crayon-scrawl on loose-leaf notebook paper were about my childhood pet - a deaf cat with dandruff. And after covering real-life dramas as a journalist, I decided I liked writing my own endings better and switched to fiction. My romance novels full of humor and heart are a far cry from those early scribblings about my hygiene-deficient pet.
I live in southern Pennsylvania, with my husband, two kids and two cats. I like a good pint of beer, a greasy bacon cheeseburger, homemade mac and cheese, and a great book with a happily ever after. When I'm not tapping away on my laptop, I'm probably listening to the characters in my head who just. Won't. Shut. Up.

Spotlight/Guest Post: On a White Horse by ‏@Monica_Corwin

On a White Horse

Blurb:
Victor Brandt has a secret. As a new resident to New York, he goes out in search of diversion, and he finds it behind a red door. The Underworld embraces him, and soon he realizes he's going back night after night just to see Mistress Lethe: a Dominatrix so demanding she will satisfy her submissive into forgetting their own name before stealing her pleasure. But soon Mistress Lethe draws Victor into her world, and he realizes it's a lot larger than he thought.

Bianca's coffee business is booming, but her love life is lacking. With each step her friends—the other three horsemen of the apocalypse—take toward happiness, she holds herself back. As visions of the future threaten everything the horsemen have built, Bianca finds a man who sees all of her: the light and the dark, and for a little while she becomes Mistress Lethe, a simple woman and the embodiment of Conquest. But fate plays cruel jokes, and after only a short time with Victor she is confronted with a decision that can save the world but cost her the first man that’s ever made her want to be human.

When a mysterious stranger arrives bearing ill omens, Bianca wonders if she can keep together her motley crew in order to save the world. Or will the threesome’s tangled emotions usher in the apocalypse? Come and see.

Interview with Bianca

Bianca is the main character in the novel, On a White Horse. She is also the horseman of Conquest. Today we are interviewing her:

1    What is your idea of perfect happiness?
That is a hard question. It’s not something I think about often. I suppose my idea of perfect happiness is a moment. Just moment upon moment of comfort and contentedness.
2    What is your greatest fear?
        Ending the world one day.
3    What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
My weakness. That fact that I have people in my life I care enough about that it would physically harm me if something happened to them. It’s a weakness but a necessary one.
4    What is the trait you most deplore in others?
The same thing. I can see it in others and some weakness is necessary like loved ones but some aren’t. Addictions and unkindness…both a form of weakness I can’t abide.
5 Which living person do you most admire?

Cloris. But don’t tell her or I would never hear the end of it. She has a strength I admire.

Excerpt:

Bianca berated herself for succumbing to such distraction. Victor, his body, sighs, and all that toned brown skin. Even after her seal was stolen, she still couldn’t get him from her mind. It’s not like they didn’t have an idea of who stole it. It made sense she’d target Bianca since she’d humiliated her when they fought with Hel in the Underworld. The fact that a hellhound had entered her home while she and Katherine were out and stole the crown enraged her. Even Victor’s beautiful body couldn’t heal that sense of violation. When she raced home and found the place empty, at first fear flashed through her for Katherine’s safety, but she called the others and located them all at Scarlet’s place. They partied along completely oblivious through the theft of her seal and where was she? Shame poured over her as her mind drifted back to Victor.
Every inch of her wanted to take Victor again and mark him as her own. His sighs resounded in her mind as she stared at her ceiling during the night. And often, since she’d woken up, she’d stop and think about him. She’d ridden him on the floor, and he’d taken everything she dished out and wanted more. For her first human BDSM relationship, she wadded in neck deep. She researched online about BDSM relationships and learned she’d claim him if he wanted her to. Collar him and then set the standards of whatever came afterward.
For a moment, she considered what kind of collar one would put on a human and if he might actually wear it. Maybe only at the club or in play. Parts of her discounted the notion because she loved nothing impeding her hands from his bare skin. Beautifully unmarred by accessories…but he also cut a nice suit.
She slammed the open book in her lap closed as the bus rattled along between taxis and tourist rigs. No point in pretending anymore. She’d read ten words since she opened it fifteen minutes prior, and three stops remained until she would exit the bus and trek the couple blocks to work. Cloris wanted her, and all of them, to use her car service, but most of them loved the independence and the ability to go about their day and live their own life. Even if they did spend most of their time together. She worried after Katherine though. The woman cared too much about others for her own good, and Bianca feared someone would take advantage of her gentle heart.
A man bumped against her as the bus hit a pothole. He grabbed the pole in front of her that aligned with the seats. All the seats were taken, or she’d have shifted to another one. She glared over at him to find him leering down her cleavage. If she were Scarlet, she’d make him hurt for the insult. Cloris would stare him down and make him regret his daring. If she were Katherine, she’d politely excuse herself to another area of the bus until departure and then forget about it. She glanced back at him as he continued staring, and she didn’t care. None of it mattered because a numb emptiness suffused her. Sitting on a bus full of humans, milling around, living their menial lives. The end of the world might be a favor to them. Give them something to fight for.
Her hands tingled with the power inside her. She shook them to try dissipating the sensation, but it didn’t work. The edge she’d worn off at the club returned with a vengeance. A reminder as that conquering power began to force its way back up again. The man shifted his hand and grazed her breast as he shifted it up the pole in front of the row of seats. Her control snapped and she grabbed his chin. For a moment, the lust in his eyes, and then behind it the disgusted dirty deeds he’d committed in his life, were all she could see. The way he used and abused women before tossing them away.
His voice broke the spell. “You know you want it.”
She leaned in and pressed her lips to his in barely the promise of a kiss, and shoved the raw power inside him. When she pulled away, she smiled and whispered against his mouth. “You will never touch another woman again. Every time you do your skin will itch and burn as if you caught fire.”
He shifted and attempted to break the grip she held on his chin. She wasn’t Cloris, Katherine, or Scarlet, but she was stronger than a human woman. She patted him on the cheek, before releasing him, and he flinched back with a pained expression.
The bus jerked to a halt and she parted the crowd to exit. Once the cool air hit her face, she realized the direction her mind drifted and stopped cold. She’d only seen Victor a couple days prior, and the time she spent with him kept the edge of the need to control at bay, but after two days without the power, it began to rise from the depths of her demanding to be used, demanding the respect. She sighed as a cold sweat sprouted at her temples. She began a heavy march toward the shop and started to wonder if working would be a bad idea. To be around customers and people making demands of her. That might not be a good mix to her already unpredictable powers. She reached into her pocket for her phone and hit one of her worker’s numbers. “Hey, Tina, it’s B. Do you mind taking my shift this afternoon?”
